We are delighted to announce that Castlerea will host Roscommon’s first ever Croí 5K Night Run/Walk on Friday, October 17th at 8pm. This exciting event is being organised by the Transition Year students of Castlerea Community School together with members of the Castlerea Town Team.
This will be the first official Croí Night Run/Walk in the county, and it promises to be a very special evening for our community.
Croí is a West of Ireland charity dedicated to leading the fight against heart disease and stroke. Their mission is simple but powerful: to save lives and to empower people to take control of their own health and wellbeing. Every step taken in this event helps Croí to provide free health checks, nurses’ guidance, and vital support for families affected by cardiovascular illness.
We’re calling on everyone in Castlerea and across Roscommon to get involved – whether you’re part of a sports club, defibrillator committee, walking or running group, or simply want to take part as a family or individual. This event is open to all, no matter your fitness level – it’s about moving together, shining a light, and making a difference.
