Castlerea is gearing up for one of its most festive and heart-warming events of the Christmas season! The Castlerea Agricultural Show committee is inviting the entire community to join them on Saturday 14th December for their Illuminated Tractor Run, with all proceeds on the night going directly to support St. Michael’s School, Castlerea.
The tractor run will take place at Castlerea Livestock Mart, where registration opens from 4:00pm, followed by the official start at 5:00pm. The event promises a dazzling display of tractors lit up with Christmas lights and decorations, creating a unique and unforgettable festive parade through the town.
This is a celebration for the whole family — and the fun begins even before the main event. At 4:30pm, young tractor fans can take part in the Children’s Tractor Parade inside the Mart grounds. Little farmers are encouraged to bring along their favourite toy tractors for a joyful and colourful mini-parade of their own.
After the main illuminated parade, children and adults alike are invited to stay for a special Meet & Greet with Santa, adding even more Christmas cheer to the evening.
A bucket collection will take place on the night, and every euro raised will go directly to St. Michael’s School, helping support the incredible work carried out by the staff and teachers.
