There is very welcome news for Castlerea this week with the announcement that €50,000 has been awarded to the town under the Historic Towns Initiative (HTI).
This funding will be used to develop a Heritage Led Regeneration Plan, an important step in identifying key buildings and planning suitable regeneration works that will enhance and revitalise the town centre.
The plan will help shape the future development of Castlerea by recognising and building on the town’s rich heritage, while also supporting sustainable growth and investment.
The Castlerea Town Team were delighted to support Roscommon County Council in this application and look forward to continuing to work together as the project progresses.
This is a very positive development for Castlerea and an important opportunity to plan for the future of the town in a thoughtful and meaningful way, ensuring that its heritage is preserved while creating a vibrant and attractive place to live, work and visit.
