Bernard Egan specialises in mechanical repairs to all types of garden machinery and construction equipment. This includes garden tools, power tools and all other types of small engine equipment, hydraulic hose repairs, lawnmowers, strimmers, chainsaws, power washers, generators, cement mixers, hand-held rotavators, hoists, mini diggers, dumpers etc.
Bernard has over 30 years experience working as a plant fitter and mechanic and also is the main dealer for ATCO High-Quality Performace Mowers including ride on mowers.
Castlerea Mart’s first sale was at the end of September 1976. It is a Co-Operative Livestock Mart owned by local farmer shareholders. At the start, it had 900 shareholders, with a share capital base of £55,000, at the time that was the cost to build the mart.
Over the years, two other sales rings have been built and all three rings are used every week all year round. Castlerea Mart has a catchment area of around 40 miles and is well known for its quality stock and good suckling area.

The organisation is funded by State Grant-in-Aid; fees for research, advisory and training services; income from national and EU competitive research programmes; and revenue from farming activities and commodity levies.
