CASTLEREA COMMUNITY SCHOOL PLC courses: These serve a variety of purposes such as; giving school leavers the necessary skills to enter the workplace or preparing them for the step-up to third level education. It can also be a very good option, to give students breathing space before committing to third level. Finally, completing a PLC course can provide a direct route into third level courses if students do not satisfy points/entry requirements. This may be preferable to repeating the Leaving Certificate itself.
The courses themselves will always offer a combination of “hands-on” practical work, academic work and work experience.
