To celebrate Wild Child Day as part of National Heritage Week 2017, Roscommon County Council has organised an Elf & Fairy Spotting Expedition on Wednesday 23rd August.

When:  23 August, 12pm – 12:30pm
23 August, 1pm – 1:30pm
23 August, 2pm – 2:30pm
23 August, 3pm – 3:30pm

Who:     This event is suitable for children up to 6 years of age and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Where: The Fairy Village, The Demesne, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon
Meet at the Fairy House in the Fairy Village, The Demesne, collect an Elf & Fairy Identification sheet and                  look out for signs of Elves and Fairies in the grounds of The Demesne, Castlerea.

On Wild Child Day, keen explorers will find elf hats, fairy blankets, fairy lamps, and also the creatures that help the ‘little folk’ – woodland recyclers, silver path makers, and web weavers.  This is an outdoor event – please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
