After a hugely successful first year in 2024, Roscommon Pride is back for an even bigger and brighter weekend of celebration, protest, and community spirit. From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August, Roscommon town will be alive with poetry, music, dancing, drag, family fun, and thought-provoking events.
This year’s Grand Marshal is none other than Jane Clarke – an award-winning poet originally from Co. Roscommon, now living in the Wicklow uplands with her wife. Jane’s collections, including The River, When the Tree Falls, and A Change in the Air, have been widely acclaimed. Speaking about her role, Jane said:
“I’m honoured to be Grand Marshal for Roscommon Pride 2025. We can never take human rights and equality for granted: it’s as important as ever to celebrate together and to stand for a compassionate, loving and creative society.”

Friday 22nd August
Poetry & Music with Jane Clarke @ Rogue – an evening of spoken word and song in the beautiful Rogue café.
Drag Bingo @ The Red Parrot – laughter, glamour, and plenty of prizes.
Saturday 23rd August
Drag Brunch @ Gleeson’s – kick off your Pride Saturday in style.
Pride March – 2.30pm from the Quad, Roscommon Town. A vibrant show of love, visibility, and unity.
Family Fun Day @ Loughnaneane Park – entertainment, activities, and something for all ages.
After Party @ Oscar’s Bar – drag performers and late-night celebrations.
Sunday 24th August
Family Fun Colour Run – energetic, messy, and full of joy.
Wellness Day @ Loughnaneane Park – including Laughter Yoga for Young People, a Ceremony of Love & Remembrance, mindfulness sessions, a wellness talk, and the Rainbow Sing Song.
