The latest episode of the Castlerea Weekly Roundup is now live, bringing together some brilliant local stories from across our community. This week’s show is hosted by Susan Gaynor and features a lovely mix of fundraising, volunteering and local talent.
We were delighted to welcome members of Kilkeevan Gun Club, who presented Martina Jennings from Mayo Roscommon Hospice with a cheque for €6,000 in support of the new Children’s Sunflower Hospice. It’s a fantastic example of community fundraising making a real difference to families across the region.
We also heard from Margaret Diggins from the Mayo Roscommon Shop in Castlerea, who spoke about the incredible volunteers who keep the shop running and the important work the charity does locally.
Rounding out the episode, Chris Duffy joined Susan to chat about his new single and his upcoming cabaret show with Eugene Murphy in Strokestown, giving us a nice insight into what’s coming up on the local music and arts scene.
