There was more fantastic news for Castlerea last week as Theresa Donnellan was honoured at the Irish Restaurant Awards, taking home the Employee Excellence Award.
This award is a fitting tribute to someone who has given over 30 years of dedicated service to Hester’s Golden Eagle Bar and Restaurant, becoming a familiar and much-loved face to so many along the way.
Although Theresa has recently retired, this recognition shows just how much of an impact she made during her time in hospitality. Known far and wide for her warm personality, loyalty and professionalism, Theresa had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Whether you were a regular or just passing through, Theresa always had a friendly word, remembered names, and created an atmosphere that kept people coming back. Her genuine care for customers and her pride in her work set her apart and made her an integral part of Hester’s for so many years.
This award not only recognises her hard work and commitment but also celebrates the kind of service that defines great local businesses – friendly, personal and built on strong community connections.
