There were fantastic scenes of celebration last night as Glenamaddy Players made history, being crowned All-Ireland Confined Drama Champions for the very first time.
Their production of Chapatti by Christian O’Reilly took the top award at a gala ceremony held in The Patrician, Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone – a huge achievement and a true reflection of the dedication and talent within the group.
The success didn’t stop there, with well-deserved recognition for members of the cast and crew. Coman Keaveny was nominated for Best Director, while Pauric Newman received a nomination for Best Actor, and Marie Coneran for Best Actress.
A special mention to Castlerea’s own Pauric Newman, whose nomination is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for the local community.
This incredible win is a tremendous testament to the hard work, commitment and passion shown both on and off the stage by everyone involved.
