Planning permission is being sought for a hardware to be built in Castlerea, at an estimated cost of more than €1 million.
Brendan Cooney, of Michael Cooney and Sons, is asking Roscommon County Council for the go-ahead to demolish two houses and an existing commercial premises at Main Street.
The company wants to replace it with a hardware, measuring 858 square metres, which it’s estimated would cost one million and fifty-seven thousand euros.
Michael Cooney and Sons already has a smaller hardware in Castlerea, along with similar ones elsewhere in the county.
The council is due to make a decision on the application by April 30th.
