The campaign to have Castlerea Fire Station reopened is continuing, with another public meeting arranged and a petition being circulated.

It has now been closed for nearly six weeks because several staff are on sick leave and there isn’t enough to operate it safely.

After a meeting between local councillors and Eugene Cummins, the chief executive of Roscommon County Council the Arm/Williamstown Road Residents Association are disappointed with the progress being made on the reopening of the Castlerea Fire Station.

A 2nd meeting has now being organised in the O’Rourke GAA Centre in Castlerea on Tuesday, March 14th, at 8pm.

Please spread the word and let’s get as many Castlerea residents there as possible.
