The new splash zone was officially opened by the Minister for Community Development, Dara Calleary. Fitzmaurice noted its positive impact on rising visitor numbers and highlighted its role in supporting community wellness
Paschal has prioritised key local initiatives including improved verge trimming at junctions, safer crossing points in villages like Ballintubber and Cloonfad, effective flood prevention measures, enhanced footpath maintenance, housing improvements, and sensible land zoning policies.
Cllr. Fitzmaurice is also actively involved in various council committees including the Housing, ICT and Rural Water Strategic Policy Committee (which he chairs), Planning, Environment, Climate Change and Corporate Governance SPC, the Roscommon Municipal District itself, and the Joint Policing Committee.
